Local Beaches

South East Cyprus is home to some of the best beaches in Cyprusand Famagusta is famous. The sun, sea and sand is what most people visit Cyprus for!!!

The apartment is about 5 mins walk from the coast. Kapparis has a few excellent sandy coves. ‘Firemans’ beach is the nearest to the complex and less than 5 minutes walk away. It can be found if you turn left out onto Kennedy Avenue then take the first right by the Twilight bar. Malama beach is further along Kennedy avenue on the left. There is another beach if you turn right out of the apartment and walk a few minutes until you see a left turn sign posted ‘to Beach’ - called "Golden Bay" - about 12 mins away.

There are more beaches, restaurants and bars at Pernera and Protars. These nearby resorts are located only approx. 3 and 7 minute drive away respectively. There is also a bus to both locations. Bus stop shelter is only a couple of minutes away from the apartment.

The larger more cosmopolitan resort of Ayia Napa is a 15 min drive. You can either take the coastal route or take the new dual carriageway. The bus will also take you to Ayia Napa (see details above for bus stops).

Cafes and Restaurants

Kapparis has a variety of restaurants to suit everyone. There are a lot of choices which you could not visit all in a 2 week stay – please see following list of some local Kapparis bars and restaurants, all walking distance (between 1-5 mins from apartment) – please press ‘ctrl’ and click on links below, if links do not work please try search on google:

Shops and Supermarkets

A bakery serving fresh bread and pastries is open at the front of the complex. For the majority of supplies you will need including standard items such as newspapers, milk, bread and eggs there is Shilpanis across the road. There are also some 24/7 shops a walking distance further down the road. If you wish to visit larger supermarkets there is a Orphanides towards Paralimni (short drive – take a right at the roundabout towards Paralimni and you’ll see the large supermarket at top of the road), also Kikkonnos in Paralimni center.

For general shopping the best place is either Paralimni further inland – standard items, clothes etc. Or Agia Napa for souvenirs. There are no ‘American style malls in South East Cyprus. Selection are listed below
